Pretty amazing story that I wanted/needed to share. Today I went out to the farm to go ride horses with my trainer (Korey), his niece (Bethany), and her mom (Angie)! It was a pretty normal day…Bethany, who is 6 years old, wanted to feed the horses carrots. Since Korey was in the house fixing lunch, he didn’t come outside with the rest of us. Ms. Angie was all the way on the other side of the farm feeding the cows. I went in the barn to go grab some carrots so Bethany could feed the horses. As I was coming out the barn, I watched Bethany collapse. She has a health issue that makes her collapse when her sodium gets low. It scared the horse she was standing in front of and I here this painful, screeching voice yell “Jesus, Jesus—I need you!! Help Me!!” The horse had stepped on her after she collapsed. I ran to her as fast as I could and called Ms. Angie over with the golf cart. We got her to the hospital and the doctors stated that she had two broken ribs but she was going to be just fine. As soon as Bethany opened her eyes, she looked at Ms. Angie and me and the next few things she said—i’ll never forget. “Mama, you know what?—I saw Jesus…He was up there and it was a BEAUTIFUL place! I saw lots of people smiling at me too. & You know what Jesus told me? He said I was gonna be okay!!” As soon as she said that, I know Ms. Angie’s knees buckled and she fell in my arms and just cried. I tried to hold it in but I couldn’t. I was crying like a baby too! It took a minute for everything to sink in and realize what actually happened. I witnessed a miracle today. It’s pretty crazy that all of this actually happened right in front of me. Just as much as it is amazing, it’s also pretty scary. This definitely was an eye opener and I definitely know now (if I’ve ever doubted him before) that there really is a God. Today has taught me that life is precious…if you don’t take away anything else from this, take away this: Life is precious. Don’t take it for granted.
